Bulgaria's annual events

If visiting during late February - early March, join in the Baba Marta celebrations which take place throughout the country on March 1. This day is all about Grandma March who symbolises the end of the winter period and the arrival of spring. Colourful celebrations, events, and much more all take place on the day, which is one of the biggest events in Bulgaria.
Film buffs will enjoy the Sofia Film Festival, a well respected festival that shows acclaimed films and talks with directors. Bulgaria's music festivals are well known for their quality, and there are many of them.
