Bulgaria ski holidays are becoming increasingly popular thanks to heavy snowfalls until June on the higher peaks and a wide selection of slopes to suit beginner and advanced skiers.

  • 1. Bansko

    The most modern of the ski resorts in Bulgaria, Bansko has fast lifts and a wide variety of hotel options. Set in Pirin National Park, it enjoys the longest ski season in the country as well as the thickest snowfalls. Known for its party vibe, the area is popular with groups of friends, singles, and hen or stag events.

  • 2. Pamporovo

    The biggest ski resort in Bulgaria, Pamparovo is known and loved for its sunny days in the winter months. Most of the slopes are rounded here, making it very suitable for beginners and snowboarders. With a number of excellent ski schools, Pamporovo is very popular with families. The après-ski is well established and there are plenty of lovely restaurants, bars, and hotels in the area.

  • 3. Borovets

    This is the oldest ski resort in Bulgaria, surrounded by pine-covered pistes that will make you think you are in the Alps. Night skiing is offered here until 10pm making this resort popular with skiers looking for a new challenge. From December to late April, prime snow season, the hotels book up quickly. The resort offers a good choice of lifts and pistes for all levels of experience.
