Well appointed house in a quiet location with a large kitchen and open spaces. Rooms were comfortable for all of us. If you are walking, it is further to downtown - if you are driving, it doesn't matter. We shared the house's shortcomings with the owner for them to correct. Many of the shortcomings had a backup (for example, we had to buy our own ice; 2 of 6 stove burners didn't work so we used the other 4; the bathrooms need more hooks and towel bars; etc). The pool area was large, however it wasn't very tidy (we had to clean leaf litter and wipe the chairs).

If someone is looking for the perfect place to relax and that is central to exploring the sierras, this is the place! Pinecone cottage has it all. The owners have thought of everything. When we forgot a kitchen tool, we would say, "I hope they have one", and guess what? they did... The beds were so comfortable and amenities were well stocked. The house rules were simple and easy to follow for opening and closing. The time of year we went was perfect for peace and quiet as school is back in and travelers are gone (Sept 22 thru Sept 26th). I do not believe we saw a single soul the entire time we were here. We even went on morning walks with our dog and there was no one to be seen. We have found our niche and will be back trying out winter next...Thank you Evergreen Pinecone Cottage for opening your lovely slice of heaven for us to relax and have fun.

Six ladies planned an annual trip and chose Lake Arrowhead and this fabulous cabin! After asking all of the attendees their thoughts on this cabin, they said is was clean, has incredibly comfortable beds, and is an excellent space for a large family or group. It has a GREAT top deck with a distant view of the lake and has a lot of fun activities nearby. Overall an exceptional stay with all of the amenities!

Great house, room enough for my kids and close enough to walk into town. My kids had a great time! Would definitely stay again

Beautiful and very spacious property. TV was slow. We spent a lot of time trying to figure out light switches. The area was extremely quiet. We only ran into guest at the pool. Loved the peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Bruce's house in Mill Valley. It's very comfortable with plenty of room to relax, play games and enjoy the view. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfortable and we especially liked the sunroom. Communication both before and during our stay was excellent. They even left us a basket of snacks and cooler with cold drinks.

We had a great stay for our family vacation! Lake Tahoe accommodations was very communicative so our check in and check out process was very easy. It also had plenty of room for our dog and little one to run around. It was close enough to town and everywhere we wanted to go. We would definitely come back here in the winter time.

We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect and just a short drive to the lake and very close to downtown Redding. The house was spotless and well-maintained, with all new appliances and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The backyard was beautifully landscaped and made for a peaceful spot to enjoy a morning coffee or unwind with dinner and drinks after a long day on the lake. The neighborhood was quiet and family friendly, with very little traffic making it perfect for kids to ride bikes or go for a walk. The host was great and checked in on the first day to make sure everything was going smoothly. There is plenty of space to park a boat or PWC, which was a huge plus. We would stay here again and highly recommend it!

No air conditioning. Couldn’t use the upstairs at all because of the heat. Matress was very thin and uncomfortable in bunkroom. Otherwise it was fine.
