The English county of Derbyshire, nestled in the middle of the country, is home to some of Britain's most breathtaking scenery. The county hosts three quarters of the Peak District National Park, the first National Park to be established in Britain. Here you can enjoy world-class hiking routes, cycling opportunities, and sightseeing. A stay in a Derbyshire holiday cottage also provides easy access to some of England's most charming towns and villages, such as the famous spa town of Buxton.
Excellent especially for people with mobility problems. We stayed in Barn Owl cottage and it has been modernised to except wheelchair users with no problems. The cottage was warm on arrival and was fully equipped with everything we needed. It is a working farm so if you go in the autumn or winter you have to expect the mud. All I might suggest is a slow cooker for the winter so you can have a hot meal ready for when you get in, especially if you have been out walking. Looking to go back in the spring.
