Children's adventures in Chelan

Getting out and about

Chelan's Electric Bike tours let you enjoy extended forays into the majestic landscapes of the Chelan Valley, without even breaking a sweat. You can also rent a normal bike of course, or a moped, depending on your proclivity. If you prefer the high life, you can also see the Valley from a helicopter or sea plane. Wine flights (that's right) are also available. Thrill seekers will be gratified to learn that the Chelan Butte is a favourites of hang gliders and para gliders worldwide. It has held international competitions in recent years.

Lake Chelan

This 50 mile long lake is fringed by vineyards, mountains, and charming villages, making it the perfect place to play. In the winter too, it is a picturesque spot where cozy hostelries overlook the snow-capped mountains and clear glacial waters.

Slidewaters Water Park

Whiz down the rapids by the lake at this vibrant water park. Slidewaters is certainly not short of slides (there are 13 to choose from) which equals hours of family fun. Or take a time out in the hot tub.

Lake Chelan State Park

Pitch up in this 127 acre camping park and enjoy a 6000 foot beach, lawns with lakeside views and winding hiking trails. Get back to nature in this most idyllic of settings.

Beebe Bridge Park

Alongside the deep blue lake, this 56 acre campsite may be smaller than the State Park, but it also has tennis courts, a two-lane boat launch, horseshoe pits, and a pretty perfect swimming area by the lake. Oh, and there's also a softball field and playground where the kids will have a ball.

Fielding Hills Winery

Known for its wineries, your Chelan adventure wouldn't be complete without a trip to Fielding Hills. Sample the mouth watering (and award-winning) reds made from the grapes at Riverbend Vinyard. Take a stroll around the stunning grounds and drink in the bucolic scenery.
