Swanage and Purbeck Festivals

The summer is overflowing with celebration, beginning with the Purbeck Pirate Festival in June/July. This is a charity event with pirates, music and stalls, plus the opportunity to see what life was like on the 18th century frigate, Shtandart.

This is followed by the Swanage Jazz festival in July, and Swanage Carnival Week. September hosts the Swanage Walking Festival, with a selection of themed guided tours along the coastline and through the countryside.
