1. Take a Tour
Free with your entry to the gardens is a wonderful introductory tour to what Kew is all about. Learn about its significance, since opening in 1759, and meet expert botanists. If you'd prefer not to walk around too much, hop on the Kew Explorer train and get a guided tour in seated comfort.

2. Treetop Walkway and The Hive
Opened in 2008, you can get a different view of the park from 200m. in the air. This expertly designed walkway purposefully sways in the wind, creating a harmonious experience as you admire the treetops. The Hive is devoted to bees, and is a multisensory experience highlighting the importance of these now-endangered creatures.

3. Alpine House and Nash Conservatory
Among the indoor areas are these fantastically well designed plant houses. Alpine House is a marvel of contemporary architecture, built in an attractive arch shape and made of glass. It houses a variety of Alpine plants. At the Nash Conservatory, which was originally planned to be built at Buckingham Palace, you can see stunning Araceae flowers in an elegant space where weddings and other events are often hosted.

Catch the train into London Waterloo and you'll be right at Southbank, with its range of cultural institutions, restaurants, and bars.
