Enjoy wine tastings and celebrated cuisine at Cupitts Winery and Restaurant. The 1851 building was formerly a creamery and overlooks bucolic scenes of the lake and cattle grazing peacefully on the meadows. Menus are based on the slow food philosophy and incorporate local, quality ingredients.

Rainforests and watersports

Children will be entranced by the water dragons and lyrebirds at Minnamurra Rainforest Center. A three kilometre loop winds through lush rainforest, past a crystal stream and the Minnamurra Falls. You can finish your visit with refreshments at the superb cafe.

North Beach is located conveniently close to the city centre. Surfers will be thrilled by the waves at Acids Reef which break just opposite Stuart Park and roll all the way to shore. Lifesavers oversee the southern end of North Beach throughout the year.

Snorkelling and botany

Located at the tip of Jervis Bay, the delightful Booderee National Park is a serene environment for swimming, surfing and diving. Both the bay and ocean beaches are exceptionally clean and the verdant rainforests are packed with wildlife. Don't miss the Booderee Botanic Gardens.

Montague Island, a home for seabirds, penguins and seals, is nine kilometres from Narooma. Spot whales from the lighthouses between September and November. Why not take a tour to see the penguins and snorkel in the island's coves?
