Only multi-day festivals with at least 70,000 total visitors were included in the ranking. The regular ticket prices come from the official websites of each festival and were requested at the end of March 2019. The prices of 'early-bird' and 'last-minute' tickets may differ from the prices shown above.

EXIT festival was proclaimed the 'Best Major Festival' in Europe by the European Festival Awards in March 2018. On top of that, it now proves to be not only the best large-scale festival, but also the best value for money! 2. Fusion Festival, Lärz (26.06 - 30.06)

Fusion Festival takes place at a former Russian military airport in Germany. It's known for its association with left-wing politics - perhaps that's why it's so affordable! For just £123.93, festivalgoers can enjoy five days of theatre, art and performance as well as music - plus camping space.

3. Zwarte Cross, Lichtenvoorde (18.07 - 21.07)

  • Visitors: 220.000

The Zwarte Cross is the largest paid music festival in the Netherlands - in recent years, the musical spectacle at the Achterhoek theatre has attracted at least 200,000 visitors. An entrance ticket for all four days costs a total of £102.56, which is only £25.64 per day. However, access to the campsite costs an additional £106.84.
