Located within the luxurious private Ocean Reef Club on the Island of Key Largo, the Dolphin Course is a particular favourite at the club, thanks to its generously wide fairways but increasing challenges as the course progresses. Golfers enjoy a stunningly exotic backdrop, too.

Technically two courses; the International Course, a day-long challenge inspired by the historic links courses of Scotland and Ireland and the National Course, an easier option perfect for those fitting golf in between theme park trips.

This Player's course with its links-inspired bunkers and water features has hosted many a world champion. The biggest challenge is Hole 17, one of the most well-known in the world, located on a small island green.

The Streamsong Resort is home to three golf courses, the Red, the Blue and the Black. All are worth a try but the Red Wings for its seriously dramatic landforms, including natural bunkers, dunes, lakes and savannah.

A great choice for those staying in Miami, Normandy Shores may not have the prestige of many of the private clubs in the city, but it is arguably the most family-friendly in Florida, making it perfect for those with children.
