Grand Haven Lighthouse and Pier
A beacon for over a hundred years, Grand Haven Lighthouse and its lengthy pier remain one of the area's most spectacular sights. At night, the illuminations along the pier gain wobbly reflections in the water below. This is one of the favourites lighthouses of American 'lighthouse hunters' and stands up to its name, particularly at sunset.
Grand Haven State Park
At the other end of the pier, you'll find a stunning State Park sitting on the sandy shore of the majestic Lake Michigan. Grand River runs though the park too, creating some of the most scenic landscapes to be found for miles. Enjoy the huge sandy beach dappled by the shade of nearby trees and supplied with all the beach infrastructure you could wish for.
The Musical Fountain
Be sure to check out the world's largest musical fountain, where you can hear nightly performances throughout the summer. These synchronized music, water and light shows are truly unique and feature a variety of different musical genres ranging from classical to pop.
Tri-Cities Historical Museum
This superbly curated museum lets you step back in time, literally, with exhibits like a pioneer cabin on the Michigan Frontier, Victorian rooms decorated in period style and a logging camp.
Lighthouse Connector Park
Known locally as 'the boardwalk', this park runs for one and a half miles from Chinook Pier to the end of South Pier. Thousands stroll its length throughout the year, looking out over the water and enjoying the nearby parks and recreation facilities which include water sports shops offering lettings.
