All enjoy great cable car links (and high-speed zip lines are also available for rapid descents to the town below).
Ischgl isn't just about adrenaline rushes. It also has a more sophisticated side, especially around the start and end of the skiing season. If you visit in November or April and May, expect mountaintop concerts with major label artists. You can anticipate performances throughout the season from DJs, jazz artists, and even classical ensembles.
Dining out is another big plus point at Ischgl. For starters, there are traditional Tirolese inns, where you can try some Paznaun cheese. Trattorias show off the region's close links to Italy, and there are cafes to pick up a pitch-perfect Apfelstrudel in between descents as well as bars where cocktails match up with anything available in Vienna.
Ischgl isn't purely marketed at party-goers, but it delivers for nightlife fans. In fact, one of its strap-lines is "the Ibiza of the Alps", so you can be confident of finding a buzzing club whenever the temptation arises. But it's important to note that there are family attractions as well, including performances at Showarena and cinemas with the latest releases. So, it's not just for ravers!
