The alpine jewel called Livigno is a favourite of skiers from all over the world for many reasons. Besides its modern ski infrastructure and long winters, the resort is one of the most beginner-friendly spots in the skiing world. It has a seven-kilometre-long valley that allows you to ski for almost 3,000 metres nonstop. And there are plenty of spots to capture those great moments with your loved one.   1. Skiing infrastructure

    With an altitude range of 2,900 meters, Livigno is one of the highest Italian skiing resorts. Ski season starts on November 30th and ends on May 3rd. It has 32 lifts including 14 chairlifts, 12 T-bar lifts, and 6 gondolas. There are 78 ski pistes with a total length of 115 kilometres, and the longest ski piste is 2 kilometres long. The resort has 2 snowparks and allows 4 hours of night skiing.

  2. Carosello 3000

    Livigno has two separate ski areas. Carosello 3000 is the bigger ski area. It is located on the Vetta Blesaccia and Costaccia mountains, and its chair lifts elevate skiers up to 2,800 metres. Its wide and sunlit slopes are excellent for ski carving. The fun slope and snowpark are perfect for beginners. Carosello 3000 is close to the main street, so you can ski directly from the mountain top to shops or your hotel.

  3. Mottolino Fun Mountain

    This is the second ski area of Livigno. While it is far from the main street, a ski bus shuttles skiers from the town to the mountaintop. At the highest point, the Mottolino ski area is 2,500 metres. Its ski runs are more difficult and longer, making it ideal for intermediates and professionals. If you love snowboarding, you will love the expansive snowpark on this side of Livigno.

  4. Livigno Weather

    This ski resort is the sunniest in the Alps. Clear, blue skies make it a perfect destination for family getaways and romantic skiing holidays. Snow falls from early November and December. This enchanting mountain resort offers up to seven months of skiing delight, mouth-watering alpine delicacies, and rustic-chic hotels.
