Skiing Holidays in Megeve

Megeve has plenty of nursery slopes with ski areas and gondolas perfect for beginners. It also has cable cars at the top of Mont d'Arbois and the Le Jaillet gondola, which allow access to the accessible terrain. While private lessons for skiing are popular with vacationers, Megeve has half a dozen ski schools that provide lessons for all levels of skiing.

Intermediate skiers can enjoy the vast skiing areas with an Evasion Mont Blanc ski pass, which includes nearly 300 miles (482 kilometres) of runs with passes up to 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) long. Skiing along these trails gives you a sense of exploration and an adventurous thrill as you take in magnificent views of the mountain ranges. Areas for intermediate skiing include Saint-Gervais and Saint-Nicolas de Veroce.

Even though Megeve is not as popular for advanced skiing, it does offer challenging areas for skiing, including the Voltigeurs slope, which is almost a kilometre long. Black trails can also be found at Mont Joly, descending from the highest point. Mont Blanc features 500 miles (804 kilometres) of runs where vacationers can enjoy advanced skiing to Chamonix valley.

Megeve features several freestyle areas, the main one being on Mont Joux. Megeve also has a 420-foot (128-metre) half-pipe, which has mini moguls, tables, and a pyramid. At Rochebrune ski area, the Grands Champs chairlift leads you to the Waidzai Park. Two terrain parks in Jaillet sector also allows vacationers to practice and learn freestyle skiing and snowboarding.

Megeve hosts about 21 miles (33 kilometres) of cross country skiing trails, giving you a tour across the breathtaking scenic area. For beginners, there's a trail on Plaine d'Arly close to the village centre. Trails for cross country skiing on Mont d'Arbois plateau give you panoramic views over the mountain ranges.
