  1. Trysil

This is the largest ski resort in Norway, with 40 ski lifts and over 70km of runs. There are a variety of places to stay nearby, depending on your group size and budget. Trysil has a really good ski school for beginners and those wanting to learn new techniques. Snowboarders and cross-country skiers will also find plenty of areas to challenge themselves and their skills.

  2. Hemsedal

Considered by many people to offer the best skiing in Norway, this resort is very popular with families and those who enjoy off-piste skiing. The resort offers a large children's area, ski school, and snow parks. There are 20 lifts and 50 ski slopes in the area, so you're sure to find a few runs that you'll enjoy. A number of luxury hotels can be found in the area, and there are plenty of holiday apartments to rent for larger groups.

  3. Hafjell

An adventure park and ski resort that was the site of the slalom events for 1994 Winter Olympics. You can try a run down the Olympic slope, to be sure, but there are also more than 40km of ski slopes and over 30 runs. This is a popular resort for snowboarding, tobogganing, and off-piste skiing.
