All the beaches in Borocay are absolutely stunning, but White Beach has an edge over the others and regularly appears on lists of the world's best beaches. As the name suggests, the beach features swathes of clean, white, powdery sand lapped by crystal-clear, calm waters.

Located on the western coast of Palawan, this wild, undeveloped, tropical beach has far fewer visitors than the more popular beaches of El Nido to the north of the island. Secluded sandy spots enveloped by mangroves are easy to find in the peninsula to the north of the beach, while the main beach and village offer a true taste of local life.

The best beach for surfing and home of the biggest annual surfing competition in the Philippines, Cloud Nine Reef is regularly voted among the world's top surf spots. There's plenty to offer non-surfers, too, including quiet bays, lush landscapes, and trendy, laidback vibes.

Easily accessible by boat from the resorts of Cebu City and Mactan are the islands that lie between Bohol and Cebu. Most noteworthy are the beaches of Panglao Island, where you'll find unspoilt landscapes, pristine white sand, diverse wildlife, and plenty of opportunities for diving and snorkelling.

Also known as 'Las Cabanas', Maremegmeg boasts chilled-out charm, rugged limestone cliffs, and tranquil lagoons. Most visitors come to this beach to soak up the jawdropping sunset and the early evening bar scene. There's even a zipline to an offshore island.
