Blair Castle

Blair Athol distillery
Experience Scotland through its local whiskey at the Blair Athol distillery, where the strong fruity aroma and smooth finish reflect the 12 year oak-cask maturing process and highland air. Sample a dram at different stages of production and hear about the sophisticated process of creating this highland favourite. The town of Pitlochry is well named for its beautiful lochs and rivers and you can also visit the Festival Theatre, the dam and the fish ladder which are all within walking distance of this superb distillery.
Loch Faskally
This dramatic Scottish lock is over 3 km long and is used to generate hydro electric power. It is rich with fish, including trout, pike and the famous Scottish salmon. In order to preserve fish stocks in the upstream area a fish ladder is in place. The lush grasslands and rugged mountains that surround the loch make it popular with hikers.
Falls of Bruar
A crystal rivulet of water sparkles as it makes its way down the hills at Bruar. Hike up the gorge and work up an appetite - you can picnic at the top in a specially built picnic area for hikers. The route affords you splendid views of from two stone bridges set among picturesque countryside.
Ben Vrackie
Intrinsic to the identity of Pitlochry, Ben Vrackie is one of the top ascents favoured by visitors to the town, and also the highest in the area. The summit offers a superb panorama of the woodland, moors and local lochs.
