Even without concert tickets, it's still worth taking a tour of the Casa da Música. This rule-breaking contemporary building was designed by Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. Appearing to stand on its head, the building has two walls made entirely of glass.
Blow away the cobwebs with a walk along this promenade, a recreation of the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. With the lighthouse as a backdrop, it's a romantic spot at sunset.
