Day trip to Arrecife
The capital of Lanzarote retains its original character of a fishing village with its maritime atmosphere and winding streets. About half the population of the island live in the city whose name means rocky reef. Several bright and sandy beaches line its coast, and the Castillo de San Jose and the Museum of Contemporary Art nearby are must-sees.
Timanfaya National Park
The incredible landscape of Timanfaya National Park is like the surface of the moon. Lava fields stretch for around two hundred square kilometres, punctuated by the fire mountains: remnants of volcanic activity in the area that dates back to the seventeenth century.
Lanzarote Golf Resort
This stunning resort with ocean views encompasses a varied topography and is a bright green swathe along Lanzarote's stony shoreline. Enjoy quality golf lessons as well as stunning facilities at the clubhouse.
Playa de los Pocillos
Sports are forbidden on this popular beach, so you'll be able to devote your undivided attention to unwinding in the sunshine. There is, however, a children's playground and a mini golf course for those still too little to play at the Golf Resort.
Puerto del Carmen beach
The beaches at Puerto del Carmen are the main spot on the island for relaxation and play. Rent a hammock or sports equipment, depending on your preference. The surfing here is superb, and kids will love snorkelling in the shallows and exploring the coastline by kayak. There are also innumerable restaurants, cafés and bars on hand, so you'll never want for anything as you enjoy the sunshine.
