‘Great location in superb countryside. Very peaceful, but in easy travelling distance to Malvern, Worcester etc.. The accommodation was spotless and great attention to detail has been spent by owners Sally and Steve in making your stay a memorable one. No need to stay in a top hotel when accommodation to this standard is available. Highly recommended !’

‘This house is well situated in its well kept gardens and many seating areas to chill with family both during the day and evening, big enough for children to run around and play around in. Nice little park at the bottom of the garden also. The pool is a great size and well maintained and very clean. { shame the pump broke and we had no heat in it for four days of our stay} but the keeper sorted the problem the day before we left and it needed 24hrs to heat back up as it is a large pool. Sauna was great left you feeling totally cleansed. Everything you needed was all provide within the home. Just need your own towels for the pool area. The one main problem was that the wifi did not reach to the anix rooms at all. Beautiful views not far from supermarkets, nice food at the pub down the road. I would suggest going to see Puzzlewood only about 40 minutes drive away. It was a pleasure staying at this lovely country home. Enjoyed our times with 12 adults and 10 children Greeat time’

‘My wife and I arrived on the 7th June 2019 to prepare for other family members arriving to help us celebrate our 45th anniversary. We were met by Pat who was brilliant in explaining everything about the house / pool etc. She ensured that we had her contact number in case of assistance. The weather could have been better in June but the wonderful indoor pool took away the disappointment in not being able to have a BBQ / play in the garden etc. The actual facilities in the property were 100% - They have thought of everything to assist in making certain you can entertain properly ie - serving dishes / glasses etc etc etc. Nothing has been left to chance. The other beauty is the 2 dishwashers to cater for the amount of people that could be in the house. We were a party of 13 aged between 3 years and 73 years therefore we had more than enough space for everyone. On our final day, Pat was there to ensure everything had gone well. We never felt rushed to leave, albeit we were ready as we knew that the house had to be vacated by 10am. If you have a large party to cater for, this is the house to do it. Clean / bright and quiet with the added attraction of the indoor pool and games room (complete with a beer fridge!.... supply your own beer of course!) All we can say on behalf of our family - thank you!’

‘We only stayed a few days at the Croft but had a lovely welcome from the owner, Sam. The Croft is warm and cosy, with plenty of logs for the wood burning stove to keep us nice and snug. The Croft is beautifully decorated, with lots of lovely touches that make it stand a cut above the rest. It is well equipped and the amazing views make it the ideal place to sit back and relax or to explore the picturesque villages and lovely walks right from the door. The pub down the road, The Trawden Arms, offers an equally warm welcome and great food. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer.’

‘We and several other couples rented The Croft for one of our periodic reunions (and had an absolutely splendid time!). The house and setting are lovely, and the surrounding countryside is absolutely beautiful. The pool is a decent size and the jacuzzi and sauna a real bonus. Where I agree with some other reviews is that the splendor of the house and grounds is at risk of being somewhat diminished by a lack of attention to small but important details. The two TVs are decent (but not smart so basic freeview channels only and no streaming) but the DVD players were ancient, poorly setup (SCART cables in 2018?) and faulty. I think I was probably the first person in years to change the batteries in the non-functioning remote for one of them judging by the state of the old batteries but even then the player was still temperamental. There was no mesh/wi-fi repeaters so most of the house/site had no wi-fi coverage. This would always be an issue in todays connected world but given that there is absolutely no 3/4G and barely any phone signal in the location it was a real headache. Most of the bathrooms had small patches of mould in the shower enclosures some of which had seen better days. Other less significant issues still niggled. There were unused picture hooks on bare walls which was a tad strange, quite a few light bulbs were missing, towels supplied were small and poor quality. The pool room was great fun but only had two usable cues (even they had dodgy tips) and no rests. Jacuzzi instructions were scrawled on a piece of paper and sellotaped to the window etc. Not earth-shattering but a bit at odds with the high quality of the house itself. As I have said, we had a great time at The Croft (and I'm sure we'll be back!) but 1 weeks rental spent on a bit of maintenance and upkeep and a bit of investment in a few technical upgrades (you can buy a couple of decent smart Blu-ray players and fit mesh wi-fi across the site for about £500) would make a real difference and do the wonderful house and grounds justice and make The Croft a definite 5 star experience.’

‘My hubby and I are currently staying at The Croft. Wow, where to start... Beautiful stone building with stunning views from the balcony in the bedroom and the patio which has a hot tub positioned perfectly for soaking up the views while relaxing. Inside is decorated to a high standard, gracefully mixing old and new. The wood burning fire is a very welcome touch during these cooler months, in all its very romantic and cosy. I can not get over how well stocked with crockery, utensils and other kitchen gadgets this cottage is, there is absolutely everything we may have needed and possibly more. The there are the extras that we would never have expected, a little milk in the fridge, a loaf in the bread bin, some cereal and jams in the cupboards, tea, coffee and sugar, and much to my hubbys delight a lovely little carrot and walnut cake from the local bakery. Sam, who owns the cottage is such a kind and lovely lady, greeted us as we arrived, gave us a tour and told us some of the cottages history and advised us about places of local interest and some of the best places to dine. The Croft is an absolute gem, treat yourself, you will not regret it.’

‘My wife Saz and myself have just spent a week at The Croft holiday cottage for our 20th wedding anniversary and my birthday, and what an amazing week it was. We didn’t know exactly what to expect.... but we certainly couldn’t have expected to find such a highly finished, perfectly presented cottage that we found and set in the most beautiful countryside with the best views ever. We were greeted by Sam the owner who was so welcoming and she was really helpful with informing us what was happening in the area over the next week. What an absolutely fantastic holiday cottage. We simply cannot rate this highly enough. The attention to detail and amount of thought that has gone into the finish of the cottage, the furnishings, the tasteful decor etc is incredible, and of an impeccably high standard. From the very thoughtful and tasty welcome pack provided, to the full compliment of utensils in the kitchen (including a slow cooker!), nothing has been omitted. We took advantage of her local knowledge and had some fantastic days out at local events and local attractions. There are some lovely walking routes to take in and the views are to die for. We can not rant, rave or recommend The Croft highly enough. We were devastated that we had to leave and had already booked a return for a weeks holiday next year.... this is a real Gem of a place and we’re torn about shouting how great it is.... because we want to keep it to ourselves. Sam and her family are the most welcoming family and I don’t think they realise how much of a great place they have. Thank you for such a fantastic holiday experience, and we look forward to returning next year.’

‘Just returned from a 3 night weekend stay at The Croft which was thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is just lovely, immaculately presented and in such a beautiful location. The views from the hot tub and terrace are stunning making it all the easier to sit back and relax watching the world go by. Plenty of things to do and see nearby, and a well stocked games room for rainy day entertainment. We had originally booked for a weekend in February but due to bad weather the cottage was inaccessible. Sam the owner was more than accommodating and moved our booking without any hassle at all. On arrival Sam was more than helpful showing us around the cottage, pointing out the local places of interest and introducing us to the pet sheep! All in all a fabulous place, and one we will definitely be returning to.’

‘My husband and I and our 2 children 7 and 3 had an amazing week at the croft. The cottage is gorgeous, such care and effort has gone into making the cottage look so good. The hot tub was the kids favourite and with the cover over the top the colder weather didnt put them off! Samantha the owner was so friendly and nothing was too much for her, the little extras like the easter treats when we arrived made it even better. The only bad part of the holiday was having to drag the children away from their 'new cottage' when it was time to leave! I would definetly recommend this cottage to anyone.’

‘Overall a really nice family location with fabulous pool, sauna, gym, jacuzzi and I would definitely recommend it and go again. The main building is nicely decorated with a huge TV in the living room, a large kitchen with Aga, separate cooker and 2 dishwashers! There were a couple of niggly things that needed sorting out like the broadband not working (wouldn't have bothered packing my laptop if I'd known), the shower tray waste in my room was either blocked or not sufficient for the high water pressure and filled ankle deep, a few of the showers seemed a bit temperamental I'm told, one had a leak. The extractor fan didn't work either in the Jack and Jill bathroom. Just a little bit of maintenance would have made this 5 star.’

However, so many flies in and around the house, made it very difficult when cooking and preparing food. The 2 main windows in the kitchen did not open, we understood we were in a rural location near to a farm, however, flie screens would of helped matters. 1 shower in the en-suite did not work, broken paving slabs on the patio, no towels or bin liners in rooms and bathrooms on arrival, we also had to wash patio furniture as it was very dirty on our arrival. Swimming pool was great but, sauna had a broken seat with nails showing, this had to be fixed during our stay. Bedroom with 3 single beds was shared by 3 young girls, the window was held open by a small bin. I would recommend this house rental, but improvements need to be made.’

The gardens were beautiful and the swimming pool was perfect and so warm and clean. I could not find a fault with the property and had the most fantastic weekend. I cannot wait to return!’

‘Stayed at the Croft in November, 18 of us altogether, ages from 15 months to 87 years! Had a fantastic time. The house is amazing, although it is big, it still feels homely. Great that everyone could have their own bedroom and bathroom. Dining room is great for big family dinners. Highlight though has to be the pool, jacuzzi and sauna, used every day. Wonderful welcome too and the cakes were delicious. Would love to go again.’

‘I stayed here with friends and family in January 2012. I can't rave about the place enough. Every person of the 21 that stayed said it was one of the best weekends away they've ever had. The bedrooms are gorgeous, the sitting rooms cosy and the grounds fabulous. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were amazing. Spotlessly clean and really made the holiday. The owners were extremely accommodating and even baked some cakes for our arrival. Now, if we can just find another weekend when this wonderful 0property isn't booked up, we will hopefully be returning!’

‘We stayed at the Croft at the beginning of September, it was to celebrate a 50th birthday, and we had age ranges from 5 months to 70. The house had ample space and accommodation for all of us, with us being a large group it was nice to find quiet places at times! The house, grounds and pool are absolutely fantastic. The owners so welcoming and helpful. I could go on for ever, but short and sweet, if you rent this house you will not be disappointed, it met all our expectations and more, top marks. There are plenty of beautiful towns to visit in the area, and local pubs that do lovely food.’

We have been meeting up with friends for a house party for the past 10 years and this was voted the best yet. We've booked again for next year!’

‘We visited in april 2012 for a week for a whole family get together, there were 22 of us from a few weeks old to 83 years old. The accomodation really suited our needs although could do with an extra shower or two. Everywhere was well equipped and clean. The pool, games room etc were the icing on the cake. (The cakes were lovely too!) We also enjoyed being able to use the garden and play equipment. It is conveniently situation for Hereford and Hay. We would go again. It is more economical to be able to go for the whole week.’

‘Stayed here as part of a wedding party in March 2012. Amazing property and amenities - gorgeous pool, jacuzzi and sauna! We stayed in the annexe which gave us our own lounge, kitchen and private space. Rooms are clean and bathrooms spacious and modern on the whole. The grounds are lovely - we had such hot weather that we ended up on the veranda for the reception drinks and this made for some lovely photographs too. We had the whole reception back at the house and the catering was done in the huge fully equipped kitchen - 2 dishwashers were very welcome! Another fridge or capacity to chill champagne and drinks (and a bigger ice machine) would have made it even better but for a normal holiday it had everything you could ask for and more. A lovely part of the world and the views from the house were divine. Highly recommended!’

‘We stayed here with family while celebrating my Mum's 60th birthday. The property far exceeded our expectations. It is huge, with plenty of bedrooms and lounges to accommodate everyone. The highlight was the amazing pool, with sauna and jacuzzi. The kids loved playing in it, especially as there were lots of pool toys too. It was a nice touch for the owners to leave cake and basic provisions. We arranged an online shop but there is a local farm shop where you can get eggs and things. Would not hesitate to recommend this place and would love to visit again.’

‘We booked this property for a family break with 6 families in total, with kids ranging from 3 years to 17. The owner advised us that the letting of this property is a recent venture however she does a fantastic job. There were homemade cakes, flowers and some basic groceries provided for us on our arrival which was an unpected bonus. The layout of the premises was perfect for our mixed family group, there were two rooms away from the main house with their own small living room and staircase which was perfect for Mum and eldest Aunty to escape the noise of the main house. The pool was the biggest success of the week, lovely size, immaculately kept with it's own changing rooms, shower and toilet. Also within the building a sauna and mini gym above. The kids loved having this to themselves for the week, there are patio doors which open out onto the patio area too. On our arrival a huge brand new trampoline with safety net was being put up which the kids made full use of. The grounds the property are in, are lovely and offer plenty of room for the kids to wander round and explore. We set the kids a treasure hunt on a few occasions and this was great entertainment for them. The games room with pool table was also a hit and used all times day and night. The property is quite remote and it's around 10 mile round trip to a fair size supermarket. However there is a local shop around a mile and half away. I would recommend getting online shop delivered as we did, Sainsburys, Tesco and Asda all deliver to this property. The views are something to mention too, spectacular. Overall we had the best family holiday I think we've had to date, the kids didn't even want to leave for the first few days. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and would love to book again.’
