‘A beautiful cosy converted barn that had everything we required. Comfortable beds, well furnished, good heating in all areas including type bathroom. Lots of extras with all ages in mind, such as books and games. Spotlessly clean in a real lovely area. Karen and Geoff are the perfect considerate hosts and very welcoming. As many have stated in their guest book before us, we will back and soon!’

‘Likes: It is self-catered accommodation but the food and drink provided was fantastic. Bread, milk, orange juice, selection of teas, coffee etc. croissants, cereal even homemade jam. It is a great location for attending Bury Farm Equestrian. The cottage was perfect for our stay. Friendly and informative hosts. Great recommendation for pubs nearby. Dislikes: We stayed when it was -5 degrees so it was very cold. The cottage was warm when the heating was on. The bathroom didn't have any heating so it was cold. A heated towel rail would be nice and a more powerful shower. But otherwise fabulous.’

‘Likes: Karen, the host was brilliant and kind. She sent me detailed messages before arriving, and she welcomed us when we arrived. There were lots of toys, books and board games for my children. She even prepared bread, milk and juice in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and my daughter even said she wants to stay here forever! It was sad that we stayed there only a short time. I would highly recommend this accommodation and would like to come back. Dislikes: There are only houses around the accommodation, so we needed to drive to buy some groceries and take-away dinner. Well, we drove around 10-15 minutes though. If you travel by a car, it might not be a big problem though.’

There were plenty of items provided (tea, ground coffee, milk, croissants, jam etc) for a continental breakfast. The upstairs bedroom in particular was comfortably furnished and all the appliances were in good working order. Dislikes: A hob for cooking would have been helpfu but the owners offered to cook. Everything was spotlessly clean and the box of toys for the kids to play with was a lovely extra touch. There was even a bunny and book on the bed for my little girl which was really thoughtful. The kitchen is small but workable, lounge area is large for the size of the property. There’s lots of space in the bedroom for a travel cot in addition to the other beds.
