Enjoying a countryside position in West Yorkshire is this historic, detached property, The Stone Masons House. Nestled in a valley just a short walk from the Pennine villages of Oakworth and Haworth. This large holiday accommodation enjoys three floors of contemporary elegance and is an excellent find for families and friends to come together to explore this picturesque part of the country. Soak up the views of worth valley, made famous by the filming of the classic 1970 film, The Railway Children before entering your home for the duration of your getaway. Enter into the lower-ground-floor of the property, where a sleek kitchen awaits, where you can look forward to showing off your culinary skills, whilst making the most of the quality appliances, including a dishwasher to offer a helping hand. Completing the lower-ground-floor is a utility room with a washing machine and a cloakroom, boasting a basin and WC. Once your home-cooked meal is ready you can choose to enjoy it at the large kitchen table or ascend to the dining room above. The dining table when not in use can be turned into a pool table. Relax and unwind into your evening within the sitting room, which enjoys a seamless blend of character and contemporary, with a wood burning stove within the original fireplace complementing the plush L-shape sofa and the leather couch to view the smart tech TV for the evenings entertainment. Once the evening has drawn to a close, make your way to the first-floor, where the sleeping quarters are awaiting, each one enjoying a refreshing colour palette, their own on-suite bathrooms and smart TVs, perfect for the lazy Sunday mornings. Choose between king-size bedrooms and a twin bedroom, which has zip/link features so that you can alter the arrangement to suit the needs of your group. Continuing to impress is the enclosed garden, where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dinning before dipping into the bubbling hot tub, where you can soak up the views and catch a glimpse of the the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
Immerse yourself in your surroundings further by taking a stroll into Haworth where you will find a plethora of places to eat and drink, brows the many shops and galleries as well as a selection of shops for picking up the essentials. Take some time to visit the home of the famous Bronte sisters or take a walk along the moorland, which inspired many of the books and visit the cascading Bronte Waterfalls Soak up the scenery further by taking a journey on the 5-mile-long heritage railway line in the worth valley, which runs from Keighley to Oxenhope or travel further afield to go walking in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Other attractions within the area includes the National Trust property of East Riddlesden Hall, interesting Singing Ringing Tree or catch the train to spend the day in the city of Manchester or Leeds. The Stone Masons House promises to be a wonderful retreat as you explore this wonderful part of West Yorkshire.

Oakworth is a village in West Yorkshire, resting just two miles away from Haworth and ten miles away from Skipton. Overlooking the Worth Valley, this small Pennine village comes with all the amenities you could need and makes a great base for touring West Yorkshire. Nearby Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters and the Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children.

‘Booked this lovely property last October for a party of six, 4 adults 2 teenagers and was completly blown away with the property and its location. (Everybody had their own space) Not sure what the previous guests had to comment on, yes it is on a road, but with the windows closed at night it was not a concern. Hot tub and pool table were just brilliant after a busy day shopping or treking acrosss the Dales. Sally and Neil were just fab. They should be very proud of their property, clearly a lot of work has gone into this property. Split over 4 floors, this property offers spacious accommodation and an en-suite for each bedroom. The garden was fine for our needs, two well behaved dogs, although if you had a dog that was an escapist they could jump the wall. I think a guest book would be a good idea and surprised there wasn t one. Mainly so that other guests could share where to eat and visit, and what to avoid. There is just so much to see and do, a week just wasn t enough. Oh well, we will have to come back again:-)’

‘Three mature ladies, just back from a weeks stay. Didnt realise from the photographs that it was located on a busy main road, none of us have traffic noise at home so found it difficult to sleep as the traffic noise started at 5am. We are all avid gardeners and were disappointed that the planted areas were over run with weeds, the lawns in need of a mow making it difficult to clear up after the dogs. The previous review said that the beds were comfy, we all found that they were very poor quality with doing springs and were tossing a coin to sleep on the sofas after a couple of days there, pillows were rock solid, wish I had taken my own with me. Views from the garden were beautiful and the hot tub was great, took my own bath sheets for use at the hot tub and good job I did as any towels found downstairs were not great quality or big enough. The lounge and dining area was lovely and the quality of paintwork and decoration good, just a shame that the beds, towels etc were not of the same quality. The lawn outside the front door is an absolute sun trap till late in the evening, so some seating area there would have been great. The top floor bedroom is accessed by a very steep staircase with narrow, high treads, this needs to be made clear in the property description as it is not easily accessible for all.’

‘Just come back from a lovely week at Stone Masons House. We were the first guests to stay there and the cottage is absolutely beautiful. The decor and accessories in the different colours really add to amazing cottage. The best bit about the cottage that I liked were the secret big newly done en suites in every room, they are all hidden behind a wardrobe and you wouldn’t know they are there until you open the wardrobes. The beds are really comfy and the garden is gorgeous with the hot tub tucked away overlooking the amazing view. If you also like little boutique shops, little pubs and restaurants there is a town centre near enough on the next street. I once did a Wedding there and it’s a lovely place to go. The owners of this house have done amazing with styling it and doing it up I would recommend to anyone xxxx’
