Enjoying a superb location within the scenic North York Moors National Park and close proximity to all of the local amenities, Jenny's Cottage makes for a fabulous pet-friendly dwelling for a group or family of five plus their two canine companions who are looking to explore this beautiful area of North Yorkshire. Be welcomed into the living/dining room with eye-catching exposed beams, where you can look forward to snuggling up with your loved ones in front of the crackling fire, as you select the evening's entertainment, courtesy of the Smart TV. High speed wi-fi is also available throughout the cottage. Make your way through to the kitchen when you start to feel peckish, where you can look forward to whipping up culinary delights, as your guests set the table and uncork a bottle of wine. Gather around the dining table to tuck-in to a delicious meal, as the wine is poured, and plans are made for the days ahead. Completing the ground floor is a single bedroom with additional trundle bed. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you can wash away the day with an indulgent bubble bath or refreshing rinse in the shower, before selecting from one of two well-presented bedrooms, a double and a twin, to catch your rest in. Awake from a leisurely slumber and prepare for the day in style, before serving up morning coffee out in the rear enclosed garden ahead of a day of adventures. Explore the local village where you will find three delightful pubs, The Golden Lion, The Three Tuns and The Queen Catherine, where you can treat your guests to a traditional pub lunch and sample the local ales, as well as a well-stocked village shop. Take advantage of your close proximity to the superb 14th-century Mount Grace Priory and Gardens, where you can wander the vast grounds and soak up the rich heritage of the site. Walkers will delight at the easy access to the fantastic trails of The Cleveland Way and the Coast-to-Coast, where you can embark on a two-footed adventure. Take in some of the best sights in the area, the beautiful Yorkshire coast is a short drive away at Saltburn or Runswick bay, Whitby is also worth a visit too. If you can tear yourself away from the National Park, head over to Northallerton, where you will find the excellent 18-hole Romanby Golf & Country Club, the Northallerton Equestrian Centre and a wonderful selection of pubs and cafes for grabbing a quick bite! Just a little further is Thirsk, home to The World of James Herriot Museum which houses a re-created World War II air-raid shelter, the Thirsk Museum and the popular Thirsk Racecourse which hosts events throughout the year. Be sure to check out the small village of Rievaulx, where you will find a stunning 11th-century Abbey, as well as the fantastic National Trust owned Rievaulx Terrace which overlooks the abbey and River Rye, sure to entice any budding historians. For an idyllic stay in North Yorkshire, choose Jenny's Cottage.
Osmotherley, a North Yorkshire conservation village nestled between the Cleveland Hills to the east and the Yorkshire Dales to the west, has grass and tree-lined streets and sits on the western fringe of the North York Moors National Park. The Cleveland Way and the Coast-to-Coast long-distance footpaths both pass through Osmotherley, and it's also the starting point (or ending point!) of the famed Lyke Wake Walk. Osmotherley is a charming stone-built village with three pubs, a charming coffee shop, a well-stocked general store, and a fish and chip shop centred around an old village cross.

‘This warm cosy 1 bedroom farm cottage has everything you’ll need to relax. The outdoor sitting area faces North is our only quibble. Walk from here and hear the cries of lapwings and curlews. The owners have thought of everything and are very welcoming. We hope to come again because it’s perfect for a couple and in a wonderful walking area.’

Beautiful four post bed and jacuzzi bath are ideal fora perfect and romantic getaway. The owners are absolutely wonderful people with a fantastic story and it was humbling to hear some of their remarkable journey. Alnwick gardens are stunning. Warkworth beach is timeless. ‘This is a lovely cottage for 1 or 2 people in a peaceful and beautiful rural location. The cottage was well equipped, clean and comfortable, and not far from the village of Diggle. There are some fabulous walks out from the farm, and plenty of good places to eat nearby. The owner was welcoming and friendly, and told us about local events going on during our stay, which was really helpful. We'd definitely go back here.’

‘The first question I always ask before writing any reviews is would I go back/use this resource again etc. The answer here is definitely yes. It is a lovely little cottage for a short break in a peaceful location where the only thing likely to wake you is the clip clop of horses being put out to graze. The facilities are excellent and even in cold wet weather, the cottage stays warm and cosy. The added (free) extras of eggs, milk, tea and biscuits is a very welcoming bonus. My only qualification would be that a bit more explanation on the access - unload your car at the top door but access the cottage at the bottom door would have avoided some confusion for us. A little sketch map of the farm layout with parking, access and keybox marked would be a useful addition to the otherwise excellent instructions.’

‘The accommodation was excellent. It was an excellent base in which to discover more of Northumbria. The Schooner in Alnmouth served good food. Copperfields in Alnwick did good home cooking.’

‘Our stay at Jenny's Cottage was fabulous, the views from the lounge window were fantastic we will be returning in the future.’

‘Jenny's cottage is an excellent little cottage for couples to relax and unwind. It was everything the brochure said it would be and more. I would highly recommend this to any couples thinking of getting away from it all and unwinding in nice peaceful surroundings, even if the weather is not too good. Looking forward to going back again soon.’
