The resort is a hot spot for visitors between November and April, when the snow and ice are thickest, and is ideal for a skiing excursion.

  3. Transalpina Ski Resort

    This resort is located in Valcea County. It offers about seven ski slopes placed at an altitude of 6365 feet and is solely for beginners and intermediate skiers. It hosts several ski schools for new learners. Visitors have the pleasure of taking in beautiful views from the top of the Fagaras and Parang mountains. Transalpina Ski Resort is considered one of the most affordable skiing spots in the country.
