Sandbridge Beach

Cape Henry Lighthouse
1792 was the year of construction for this monumental edifice. It has stood sentinel at the mouth of Chesapeake Bay, near the 'First Landing' point of the English settlers in 1607, ever since. Its ergonomic design was the work of John McComb, and its construction was authorized by none other than George Washington.
