There's more to Southport than the ocean, as you'll discover from its leafy Victorian boulevards, theatres, museums and England's oldest pier. Moreover, the town is a short bus or train ride from Manchester and Liverpool, perfect for time-pressed travellers looking to escape city life. Self-catering Southport accommodation is the ideal way to discover this easygoing coastal town.
Easy to find and well prepared with a welcome basket and roses in full bloom in the garden that really helped the feel of home from home. A spacious layout with good sized rooms and a staircase wide enough to accommodate suitcases. Comfortable beds and a well looked after and clean bathroom. Really pleased and couldn’t have asked for more. Owner was approachable, helpful and called over on the day of departure to ensure we had enjoyed the stay. The nearby railway isn’t obvious with sound and being in walking distance from the beach and town centre was little more than 20 minutes as a leisurely pace allowing the car to rest. There is a levy for animals to stay which is extra but worth the money.
