Lounge with your four-legged friend on the beach, swim together, or simply stroll along the shore. Certain beaches in Spain offer all of this and more. All you need to do is pack water, dog toys, a blanket, and your swimsuit! Also keep in mind that you need to carry your dog's pet passport with you in Spain, and you are obliged to clean up after your dog. This is easy to do, as the beaches are equipped with bins.
'El Pinillo' is nearly two kilometres of sandy beach, of which a third is open to dogs and their owners. To get to the beach, park your car in the well-indicated parking lot and follow the wooden boardwalk to the sea. Do not take a shortcut over the dunes, as this is subject to fines.
'Agua Amarga', situated between Alicante and Urbanova, is one of the best equipped dog friendly beaches in this area. Here you'll find umbrellas and a kiosk that sells refreshments for both dogs and their owners. Elevated platforms make sure that your dog can take a break from the hot sand and nap in comfort.
Playa Es Carnatge is close to the airport of Palma and consists of both rocky and sandy areas. Dogs can run and play here off leash all year round. There are no services close by, so make sure you bring all that you need for a fun-filled day.
