This is a lovely little hidden gem of a resort, with a busy working harbour that is popular with young families. Explore the South West Coast Path to see the boats at Watermouth, enjoy a wildlife cruise, visit the Combe Martin Animal & Dinosaur Park, and see local art at The Gallery.

Kippford, Dumfries & Galloway
Use this pretty fishing and tourist village as a central spot to enjoy the sun-trap of this coastal area of Dumfries & Galloway. Thanks to the Gulf jet stream, you'll find a botanic garden in nearby Dumfries, sunny and stunning coastline and beaches, and wonderful woodlands to explore. Have a BBQ by the river at the Mabie Forest and explore the history and art scene at Kirkcudbright.

Bournemouth, Dorset
This classic beach resort offers everything that families need, from ice-creams on the pier to crazy golf, golden sands, and beautiful floral displays. Use it as a base to explore nearby Poole, Christchurch, and time your visit for a busy calendar of music, food and film events. This is a very pretty spot with diverse attractions, and the New Forest is near enough for a day trip too, where you'll find high ropes courses, wild ponies, pretty villages, and great gastropubs.
