Thanks to the Gulf jet stream, you'll find a botanic garden in nearby Dumfries, sunny and stunning coastline and beaches, and wonderful woodlands to explore. Have a BBQ by the river at the Mabie Forest and explore the history and art scene at Kirkcudbright.
